Your soft heart is not your fault.

Your soft heart is nothing to be ashamed of. It is not your fault.

Toxic people will call you clingy, over sensitive, needy or too emotional. They will make you feel that your soft heart is your weakness and your negativity. What’s worse is that they’ll twist your perception into believing that you are in the wrong for having a soft heart.

Toxic people won’t appreciate your vulnerability, your honesty and your transparency. They’ll make you feel that you don’t have the right to be happy when you should be, and you don’t have the right to be sad or angry because it’s inconvenient.

Toxic people will never see what you invest in a relationship. They will continue to take and take without having to worry about how much drained you already are. Because no matter how much you offer them, they are always going to want more. They won’t play fair and it wouldn’t bother them to trap you in a one-sided relationship.

Toxic people can never see your value, and will take your forgiveness for granted. They will use your selflessness to their advantage and manipulate you in ways that your emotions will be used against you. They will only do things that benefit them.

If some people don’t appreciate your soft heart, they don’t deserve to be in your life. Not appreciating your soft heart will mean that they won’t appreciate your inner beauty. Because even if you do all the right things, they wouldn’t reciprocate your kindness. You will only tire yourself out in meeting their expectations that are higher than the expectations they have set for themselves.

Toxic people are hypocrites. And they won’t admit that they are.

If you have some toxic people in your life, know that it’s okay to let them go before they can hurt you any worse.
